We assess the vessel, its existing installation and intended use before proposing an engine. If you are weighing up repair against replacement, we can review both options.
We work with private boat owners, captains, chief engineers and yacht management companies. The quotation defines the supply, installation and commissioning included in the proposed solution.

How we work
From assessment to commissioning
Project review
We review the vessel details, existing engine and reasons for replacement.
Assessment and proposal
We complete the free assessment and technical study and prepare the engine proposal and quotation.
Work planning
Once the quotation is accepted, we agree the work location and schedule. We coordinate the engine-change paperwork through an administrative services firm that works with CATMAR.
Installation and commissioning
We install and commission the engine within the agreed scope and coordinate handover.
Onboard and workshop service
Barcelona, the Maresme and Tarragona
We arrange onboard or workshop work according to the project and access requirements.
If your vessel is at Marina Port Vell, Marina Vela or Port Fòrum in the Barcelona area, or at Marina Port Tarraco in Tarragona, include its location in your enquiry so that we can prepare the project assessment.
For vessels at the MB92 Barcelona shipyard, we assess the work arrangements according to the project and the necessary shipyard permissions.

Before replacing your engine
Is the repowering assessment free?
Yes. The assessment and technical study are free. Engine supply, installation and commissioning are detailed in the quotation.
Can you supply and install the engine?
Yes. Our proposal covers the engine, installation and commissioning.
Will the transmission or propeller also need replacing?
We assess this for each project according to the proposed engine and existing installation. The proposal identifies which components are retained and any changes included in the scope.
Can you coordinate the engine-change paperwork?
Yes. We arrange the formalities through the administrative services firm that works with CATMAR, according to the project requirements.
